由于地震引发地壳滑动，许多原本的水井与地下水源都无法正常取用。即便使用发电机抽水，也不一定能抽得上来，因为井底都是泥水。因此，这几天志工们展开抢水大作战，到处募水、买水。最后终于找到一大卡车的饮用水，不仅供安置中心煮食，也分送给路上抢修电力的工人、医院病患，以及露宿街头的灾民。

Kick Off A Water Relief Drive

The earthquake triggered shifts in the earth’s crust, rendering many wells and underground water sources unusable. Even with generators, pumping water proved difficult as most wells were filled with muddy runoff. In response, volunteers launched an urgent water relief effort over the past few days—gathering water donations and purchasing water from any available source. Eventually, they managed to secure a large truckload of drinking water, which was used not only for cooking at temporary shelters, but also distributed to power line repair crews, hospital patients, and disaster survivors sleeping on the streets.
