Myanmar Disaster Relief in Progress

On 31st March, the Myanmar team under the Chinese Christian Relief Association (CCRA) continued to carry out post-earthquake resettlement and relief efforts. Work such as food and water distribution, transportation of supplies, and helping disaster survivors with bathing and hygiene needs was all done under high temperatures above 40°C.
 ✅ Temporary shelter for orphans and disaster survivors
✅ Chinese school assisted in the temporary meal station and 40 helpers turned up that day
✅ Volunteers packed 150 lunch boxes and personally delivered them to the severely affected areas in the town center
✅ Clean water was provided for bathing, laundry, and other basic daily needs


A touching moment came when children originally housed at the shelter began volunteering in the relief efforts. They helped chop vegetables, serve food, and distribute meals. They said, “As disaster survivors, we truly understand what it feels like to be displaced and homeless.”

Resources in the region are becoming increasingly scarce. It takes one to two hours just to queue for fuel, and water sources are becoming more strained. Nevertheless, our team continues to coordinate and distribute resources to ensure the basic needs of disaster survivors are met.

The efforts of the “1919 Community Service and Relief Network” Shelters and Meal Stations may seem like just a drop in the ocean—but without drops, the ocean wouldn’t be whole.
